Yesterday it snowed, and when I say snowed…I mean snowed!  We were taking Julia’s Mum home when it started to snow, but only very lightly (to the point you could

hardly see it).  But within an hour or so it was snowing heavily and next thing we knew it every where was covered in thick snow!

It was that heavy that it took us nearly 4 hours to travel 10 miles – this was from Julia’s Mum and Dad’s to ours – usually the journey can take anywhere from 20 – 30 minutes depending on traffic.  Thankfully we had just been to Morrison’s so that Maureen could get some food for her at home and also some food for us to eat because we were going to stat a little while.

But with the snow coming down so bad we decided to make our way just in case it got worse and couldn’t leave or stranded somewhere.  Maureen packed us some food for the journey and it did come in handy.

Today me and Faith-Lee went out after coming back from Tesco’s to do our weekly shop and food for Christmas.  Unfortunately we were unable to build a snow man because the snow was like a powder and just kept falling apart when trying to compact – so we just made do with snowball fights!

As you can see we built a snowman and ended up being around 6ft tall with a hat. Faith-Lee found the twigs for the arms, and Julia was throwing out the window potatoes, scarves and other bits and bobs to make buttons and a mouth for him.

There was a snow ball fight (of course)…

The snow came down over night and settled, school was closed…oh how happy was Mummy having a little person nattering all day long!

After a 2.5 hour journey home Faith-Lee wanted to go out and play in the snow, whereas I had stood on the platform and frozen to death – but what the heck…snow ball fight!

Faith-Lee did a few sneaky throws when I wasn’t expecting it…little devil! Obviously Faith-Lee had never seen so much snow before and so couldn’t help but dive into the snow and making snow angels.
